What has started initially as a one-day happening soon turned into a two-day event and after several years came to be biggest shell show in the world. The number of shell dealers participanting has increased from 30 in the early years to some 80 nowadays, representing more than 25 nationalities. Apart from dealers from many European countries, there are also dealers from South-Africa, Australia, Senegal, Japan, Brazil, New Caledonia, the Hawaiian Islands, et cetera. Originally started in Aarschot, the shell show is since 2000 taking place in the sports hall ‘Schijnpoort’, next to the famous ‘Sportpaleis’ in Antwerp (map with route description).
